Introducing the Yamanaka lacquered wooden couple’s soup bowls, finished in a rust-like coating (pair).
The bowls are made of wood, and a paste consisting of powdered abrasives, base powder, and lacquer is used as a base layer. This paste is applied roughly to create a textured surface that expresses a rugged quality.
On top of this base, black lacquer is applied, followed by sporadic applications of white lacquer. Finally, the bowls are finished with a deep reddish-brown lacquer.
The rough texture of the rust-like finish on the exterior imparts a rustic atmosphere. The irregularities of the white lacquer seen in places also contribute to the design.
The interiors of the bowls are finished in red and black lacquer, respectively. While not as pronounced as on the exterior, traces of the base layer are still visible, maintaining a unified overall feel.
These soup bowls offer a sense of luxury and robustness suitable for daily use.

木制底材上，混合了磨粉、底粉和漆，制成浆状作为底层，故意粗糙地涂抹以呈现凹凸的效果，展现出粗犷感。
在其上涂了黑漆，然后再在其上局部涂上白漆，最后用褐色漆进行最后的涂层处理。
外层的锈色涂装的粗犷质感展现了朴素的氛围。
局部可见的白漆不规则性也是设计的一部分。
内部则分别涂有朱色漆和黑色漆，虽然不像外层那样明显，但底层的痕迹依然可见，整体风格统一。
