The rim and foot of the bowl are reinforced with fabric, adding durability and strength. Even through the lacquer, the texture and pattern of the fabric are visible, giving the piece a rustic, natural design.
The bowl is somewhat larger in size, making it perfect for serving hearty, miso-based soups with plenty of ingredients.
