We are pleased to introduce a handcrafted nageire flower vase from Shigaraki ware.
A nageire vase is a tall flower vessel with a narrow mouth. It is used in a style of ikebana in which long branches or flowers with long stems are supported by resting them against the inner walls or the rim of the vase—without using a kenzan (pin frog)—and arranging them so that they extend horizontally or at an angle.
This type of vase allows for free expression and the enjoyment of natural beauty, making it possible to create flowing and graceful floral arrangements.
The vase is formed from coarse clay mixed with small stones and finished using a high-fired, unglazed technique.
Yakishime refers to pottery that is fired at high temperatures for an extended time without the use of glaze. It is characterized by the rustic texture of the clay itself and the powerful expressions created by the interaction of flame and ash inside the kiln.
The surface shows natural kiln effects and the uneven texture of the clay containing small stones, giving it the earthy character typical of Shigaraki ware.
Its calm, subdued coloring especially enhances traditional Japanese flowers.
With its softly rounded form, the vase exudes a gentle and tranquil atmosphere.

投入式（投放式）花器。
所谓投入花器，是指口径较窄、器身较高的花器。
在插花时不使用剑山，而是将较长的枝条或茎秆较长的花材，
倚靠在花器的内壁或器口处加以固定，
通过将花材向横向或斜向“抛出（投入）”的方式来完成插花，
属于插花艺术中所使用的一种花器形式。
这是一种可以自由发挥创意、
表现自然风情的花器，
能够展现出线条流畅、富有动感的美丽花姿。
本品采用混有小石子的粗颗粒陶土成形，
并以烧締工艺烧制而成。
所谓“烧締”，
是指不施釉、在高温下长时间烧成的陶器。
其特点在于充分呈现泥土本身质朴的质感，
以及在窑内由火焰与灰烬所产生的自然变化，
形成富有力量感的表情。
器表面可见因窑变而产生的自然变化，
以及含有小石子的陶土所带来的凹凸质感，
展现出极具信乐烧特色的土味风情。
