宮田豊 作の千家名物 捻貫（ねじぬき）写しの水指のご紹介です。
この捻貫水指は、千利休所持の水指とされています。
作家がそれを写して作られたものと思われます。
捻貫は、らせん状のろくろ目のある焼物をいい、
茶入れ、水指、建水、灰器などの胴の部分に見られます。
水指の上半分に、荒めのろくろ目が五段付けられており
独特の造形となっています。
内側にも、ろくろ目の跡が見られ、全体としては中央部の胴が大きく
その上下がすぼまっている、丸みを帯びたバランスのいい形をしています。
茶にかなった寸法で、利休好みのおだやかさを感じます。
外側の下地には、こげ茶色の瀬戸釉がかけられ、その上から灰色の釉薬が
ろくろ目を中心にかけられ、瀬戸釉と混じり複雑な表情が出ています。
内側は灰色の釉薬のみがかけられ、内側と外側は完全の異なる風合いとなっています。
千利休が使ったであろう、「捻貫水指」に思いをはせ茶事をするのも、一興です。

Rikyū-Owned, Senke Masterpiece
Nejinuki Replica Water Jar (Mizusashi)
We are pleased to introduce this mizusashi, a replica of the celebrated Senke masterpiece Nejinuki, made by Yutaka Miyata.
This Nejinuki mizusashi is believed to have been owned by Sen no Rikyū. The present piece is thought to have been created by the artist as a faithful reproduction of that original.
Nejinuki refers to ceramic wares characterized by spiral wheel marks, a feature seen on the bodies of tea containers, water jars, waste-water bowls (kensui), ash containers, and other tea utensils. It is considered a type of Ko-Seto ware.
On the upper half of the water jar, five bands of coarse wheel marks are applied, giving the piece its distinctive form. Wheel marks can also be seen on the interior, and overall the jar has a generously rounded central body that tapers toward both the top and bottom, resulting in a well-balanced, softly contoured shape.
The proportions are ideally suited for the tea ceremony, conveying the gentle, understated aesthetic favored by Rikyū.
On the exterior, a dark brown Seto glaze is applied as a base, over which a gray glaze is layered, especially around the wheel marks. The intermingling of the two glazes creates a complex and expressive surface. The interior, by contrast, is coated only with the gray glaze, giving it a completely different texture and appearance from the outside.
To conduct a tea gathering while reflecting on the Nejinuki mizusashi that Sen no Rikyū himself may have used is, in itself, a pleasure worth savoring.

宫田丰 作 利休所持 千家名物 捻贯（ねじぬき）仿制 水指
这是宫田丰制作的千家名物「捻贯（ねじぬき）」仿制水指的介绍。
此件捻贯水指，被认为是千利休曾经所持用的水指。
本作应是作者以该原作为蓝本加以临摹制作而成。
所谓“捻贯”，是指带有螺旋状拉坯纹的陶器，这种纹理常见于茶入、水指、建水、灰器等器物的胴部，属于古濑户的一种样式。
水指上半部施有五道较为粗犷的拉坯纹，形成了极具个性的造型。
器物内侧同样可以看到拉坯纹的痕迹，整体来看，中央胴部饱满隆起，上下略为收敛，呈现出圆润而均衡的造型比例。
尺寸十分契合茶道使用，能感受到利休所喜好的那份温和、含蓄之美。
外侧胎土上先施以深褐色的濑户釉，其上再以灰色釉药围绕拉坯纹施釉，与濑户釉相互交融，呈现出层次丰富而复杂的表情。
内侧则仅施灰色釉药，使内外呈现出截然不同的风貌与质感。
在茶事中，一边追思千利休或曾使用过的“捻贯水指”，一边品茗行事，亦不失为一番雅趣。
