This donabe is dedicated for cooking rice, allowing you to enjoy fluffy, flavorful rice every time.
Inside the pot, there are water level markings for 2 cups and 3 cups, so you can measure the proper water amount accurately without using a measuring cup.
The inner shape of the pot promotes good heat convection, ensuring that the rice cooks evenly and achieves the perfect texture and flavor.
One of the greatest features of an earthenware pot is how it gradually absorbs and retains heat.
As the pot slowly warms over direct flame, the heat penetrates the ingredients gently,
bringing out their natural sweetness and umami to the fullest.
In addition to the heat from the bottom of the pot, the far-infrared effect of the clay radiates heat throughout the entire interior,
allowing the rice to cook thoroughly to its core and resulting in a soft, plump finish.
Once heated, the donabe retains warmth exceptionally well,
so after turning off the flame, you can use the residual heat for steaming,

For 3 cups of rice, heat over medium to strong heat for about 15 minutes,
then turn off the heat and let it steam for about 20 minutes to complete.

For even better results, soak the rice in water for about 30 minutes before cooking.
You can also fine-tune the heating and steaming times to suit your taste preferences.
