山中塗から木製の茶托５客揃のご紹介です。
杉の木をくりぬいて作られた楕円形の茶托です。
杉の自然の木目を生かした、ごまかしようがない本格的な茶托です。
一枚一枚すべてが異なる木目なので、それぞれの異なる風合いを
楽しんで頂ける逸品です。
「焼杉」は茶托の形を作ったのち、杉の表面を薄く焼いて、焦げ目を付けて
それが着色となっています。
白木地の杉は、塗装していないと汚れが付きやすくなるので
意図的に表面を焼いて、炭化層を作ることで、耐久性も飛躍的に上がります。
見た目の重厚なイメージとは全く異なり、持つと大変軽く、高い技術を用いて
薄手に挽いてあるため、繊細さを感じるほどになっています。
素材が木地そのものなので、杉の木の感触を直接感じることが出来
