Originally, the inner part of a real turban shell was gilded and used, but later, karakane and ceramic versions were introduced.
This lid rest is cast metal, and its surface is finely and realistically detailed, showcasing the high level of craftsmanship of the artist.
It has a slightly tarnished silver color, which gives it a soft, subdued shine that is characteristic of the piece.

最初使用的是在真实的栄螺内侧镀上金箔的装饰品，后来逐渐使用了唐铜和陶瓷等材料。
