Mino Ware Oribe and Nezumi Shino Grape Couple Tea Bowls
Introducing a pair of couple tea bowls from Mino ware.
This set features two bowls with different designs, each coated with representative glazes of Mino ware.
One bowl is shaped from white clay and hand-painted with a grape pattern using iron glaze, then covered with Oribe glaze.
The other bowl has a grape pattern drawn with a water-repellent agent on the white base, and then covered with Nezumi Shino glaze. The glaze is repelled by the grape pattern, making it stand out.
Both bowls have a turning mark on their sides, making them comfortable to hold and easy to use.
Despite their substantial appearance, they are very lightweight and practical.
The rims are slightly flared outward, providing a pleasant touch and making them easy to eat from.
Grapes, known for their abundant fruit, have historically been used as a symbol of prosperity and the continuation of family lines. The vine’s growth signifies the wish for the enduring continuation of the household.
These are valuable pieces that exemplify the traditional glazes of Mino ware.

美濃烧 織部・鼠志野 葡萄 夫妇茶碗

两个茶碗的胴体部分都有旋转纹理，拿在手中非常贴合，易于持握。
