It is shaped on the potter’s wheel using the characteristic light brown clay of Hagi ware, covered with white glaze.
The white glaze flows irregularly, creating a beautiful focal point.
Looking at the foot, you can see that coarser clay mixed with small stones has been used, which adds a sense of strength, with small stones and pinholes visible throughout.
The side of the bowl features straight lines, and the body has wheel marks, giving it a dignified form reminiscent of a well matcha bowl.
The entire bowl is coated in white glaze, enhancing the color of the tea and imparting a gentle feel.
