Introducing a set of sake ware from Kiyomizu-yaki, including a tokuri and two ochoko. These pieces are shaped from reddish-brown clay on a potter’s wheel and coated with a beautiful blue glaze reminiscent of a tropical sea.
The refreshing blue glaze is ideal for holding chilled sake or sake at room temperature. The set includes two ochoko and one tokuri. The reddish-brown clay retains traces of wheel throwing, with the blue glaze applied to the entire inside surface and the upper third of the outside.
The appearance of the drips of glaze as droplets adds a charming touch, creating a contrast with the clay color and highlighting its beauty. The ochoko is slightly larger, allowing for a more leisurely enjoyment of sake.
The tokuri has a capacity of approximately 280 cc, which is about one and a half go, making it a generous size. The bottom inside of the tokuri features a glossy blue glaze that resembles glass, adding to its distinctive character.
