The Chakin-go is a vessel used in the tea ceremony for holding a chakin (tea cloth) and features a two-tier design.
The lid of the upper tier is shaped with a textured surface to prevent it from slipping or falling off easily.
Additionally, the lower tier is deeper, while the upper tier is shallower.
Despite its small size, the top surface of the lid is intricately hand-painted with a detailed landscape scene in sometsuke (blue-and-white porcelain), showcasing a high level of craftsmanship and care.
The upper tier is mostly plain, while the lower tier features patterns around its base, resulting in a simple yet elegant design.
